I know what it feels like to be stuck. When I started, I had no idea what I was doing. Along the way I learned how to actually train for calisthenics skills, and how to teach that to others.
In 2025 I became the Dutch National Calisthenics Power Champion. That didn't come from talent. It came from years of hard training, the right nutrition and enough rest, and the discipline to never give up. As an online coach and qualified PE teacher, I now use that same discipline to help 50 clients go from stuck to measurable progress.
This is what happens when you stop guessing and start with the right structure. These results are real client experiences, shared with permission. They are not typical or guaranteed; your results depend on your starting point, effort and consistency.
0 → 90° handstand push-up
"I owe you lots! Couldn't have done it without you."
Problem
Austin was new to calisthenics. Strong from the gym, but that strength wasn't in the right movement pattern for the handstand push-up.
Approach
Repeating the pattern itself until strength and balance came together. Along the way we also cut out the overtraining that was blocking his recovery.
Tucked → single leg front lever
"I'm happy with my front lever and handstand push-up strength, and now I want to keep going for more!"
Problem
Rutger already had strength from the gym, but no idea how to translate it into calisthenics skills.
Approach
Weekly check-ins, feedback on his form, and a program that kept being adjusted to what he showed.
Handstand kick-up and fear → confident freestanding handstand off the wall
"Such a great milestone with the handstand, I can't wait to keep pushing"
Problem
Tom wanted to get fitter for his wedding and dreamed of the handstand, but without structure the progress didn't come.
Approach
A fixed routine built specifically for the handstand, with feedback so he knew exactly what to adjust.
7 pull-ups → 4 muscle-ups
"I didn't expect to go from seven pull-ups to four muscle-ups in such a short time." (Koen)
Problem
Koen could do 7 clean pull-ups, but the muscle-up just wouldn't happen. He didn't understand why.
Approach
Targeted muscle-up drills, including high pull-ups, to build strength in exactly the right movement pattern.
The method works. I prove it myself on the biggest stage.

Lars is the Dutch National Calisthenics Power Champion (2025), an online calisthenics coach and a qualified PE teacher. He has coached 50 clients 1-on-1 to results like their first muscle-up, handstand and front lever.
You start with a free 20-minute call where we look at your goal and what's holding you back. If we're a match, you get a personalized training program built around your level and schedule. Each week you send videos of your sets, I give feedback on your technique and adjust the plan based on your progress and recovery. All 1-on-1, fully online, wherever you train.
Most people I coach have been training for months or years and are stuck on a skill. That's what the program is built for: first figure out why you're stuck, then build the plan. Just starting out? It works for you too, because the program is built entirely around your level. On the free call we'll take an honest look at whether coaching fits your situation.
Two training sessions a week with the right exercises and structure can already lead to progress. The plan is built around your schedule, not the other way around.
You can find everything I know for free on the internet. The hard part is knowing what applies to you, and what you should leave alone. That's what you pay for: someone who looks at your videos and tells you what your next step is. Weigh that against another year without progress, or an injury. The call is free, so you know what you're getting into before you start.
You can do calisthenics without any equipment. All you need is your body. Together we'll set up a training environment that fits your situation; a pull-up bar or a set of bars nearby is a plus, not a requirement.
Definitely. Especially if you've been training for a while and you've hit a plateau, targeted programming makes the difference between slowly trying and actually breaking through to skills like the planche, front lever or one arm handstand. On the call we'll look at your current level and where the biggest gains are.
Training safely and injury-free comes first. Every program is tailored to your recovery and capacity, with intensity that builds at a pace that suits your body. If you're in pain or injured, we adjust your training right away so you can keep training without risk.
Your transformation could be next. Worst case: it's not a fit, but you still walk away with free advice and a plan.
